The Trump campaign raised $30 million in the first quarter of 2019, NBC News reports Sunday. Combined with the $46 million hauled in by the Republican National Committee, Trump’s war chest currently vastly outpaces those of his democratic challengers. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), the best-performing 2020 contender so far, has raised $18.2 million; second-place Kamala Harris has brought in $12 million. At this rate, Trump could easily outraise his 2016 campaign, which cost $330 million. Campaign manager Brad Parscale said they could spend up to $1 billion in the ramp-up to 2020.
