Trump Demands Apology From ‘Hamilton’ Cast

President-elect Donald Trump took to Twitter early Saturday to complain about his running mate being “harassed” at a Broadway musical. “Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing. This should not happen!” Trump wrote. The night before, Pence was singled out by an actor in the hit Broadway play who urged the soon-to-be vice president to “work on behalf of all of us.” The actor, Brandon Victor Dixon, had told Pence he was part of the “diverse America” that is “alarmed and anxious” about a Trump-Pence presidency. Pence walked out during Dixon’s speech and was met by protesters outside the theater. According to Trump, Dixon’s statement to Pence was “rude” and the vice president-elect was all but driven out of the theater. “The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!” Trump wrote. Pence himself has not yet commented on the incident.
