In an interview with CBS This Morning’s Norah O’Donnell taped Tuesday evening, Donald Trump brushed aside his deep fundraising deficit by comparing it to presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s war chest, which he called “blood money.” Trump also accused Clinton of “making deals” with donors, something he says he does has no interest in doing.
“They say: Could I be the ambassador to this? Could I do that? Could I get my businesses taken care of? I mean, give me a break,” Trump said. “All of the money she’s raising, that’s blood money, that’s blood money.” O’Donnell declined to challenge Trump on the insinuation that people have been killed in exchange for donations to Clinton’s campaign.
