When asked about a racist ad from his reelection campaign, President Trump claimed to know nothing about the advertisement and insisted to reporters: “A lot of things are offensive.” The controversial ad, which CNN deemed “racist” and refused to run, blames Democrats for a convicted cop-killer who was deported multiple times. Trump on Monday denied knowing anything about the ad—even though he tweeted out the video in late October. “I don’t know about it, you’re telling me something I don’t know about. We have a lot of ads, and they certainly are effective based on the numbers that we’re seeing,” he said Monday. “A lot of things are offensive, your questions are offensive a lot of the times.” The ad has since been pulled from Facebook, CNN, NBC News, and Fox News.
