President Trump has expressed concerns over special counsel Robert Mueller’s ties to ousted FBI Director James Comey. In an interview with Fox & Friends scheduled to air Friday, Trump avoided directly answering a question on whether he thinks Mueller should recuse himself from the probe into possible collusion between Moscow and Trump’s campaign. But he didn’t hold back completely. “Well, he’s very, very good friends with Comey, which is very bothersome. We’re going to have to see,” he told Fox News’ Ainsley Earhardt in a preview of the interview released late Thursday. While reiterating that there is “no collusion, no obstruction, and virtually everybody agrees to that,” the president also expressed concerns over Mueller hiring lawyers who supported Trump’s Democratic rival in the 2016 presidential campaign. “I can say that the people that’ve been hired [by Mueller] were all Hillary Clinton supporters,” he said.
