Donald Trump will squeeze in a trip to Mexico to meet with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto on Wednesday, hours before his planned speech on immigration in Arizona. Nieto invited the Republican presidential nominee, according to reports. “I have accepted the invitation of President Enrique Peña Nieto, of Mexico, and look very much forward to meeting him tomorrow,” Trump tweeted late Tuesday night. Hillary Clinton was also reportedly invited to meet with the president, who has previously compared Trump to Adolf Hitler. Nieto, whose popularity within his home country has fallen to record lows, wrote on social media: “I believe in dialogue to promote Mexico’s interests in the world, and chiefly, to protect Mexicans wherever they are.” Former Interior Minister Alejandro Poire, along with other politicians in Mexico, wrote: “Be part of the campaign of a candidate dedicated to insulting us? Why?” Many tweeted the hashtag #TrumpNotWelcome on Twitter.
