The Trump Foundation has been dogged with scandals in recent weeks and a new report indicates the Republican presidential nominee’s charitable arm never got the certification it needed in New York to allow it to solicit money from the public. Any charity that solicits more than $25,000 per year has to get a special registration before doing so. New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman could order the charity to stop raising money immediately if he finds that the foundation raised money in violation of the law. Additionally, Donald Trump may have to return the money the foundation raised.
