Trump Hires Lawyer Who Pushed Conspiracy Theory That FBI’s Trying to Frame President
Former U.S. attorney Joseph diGenova will join the White House amid the Russia probe.

President Trump has hired former U.S. attorney Joseph diGenova to work on his legal team. Per The New York Times, the long-time D.C. lawyer has a Trump-like history of pushing the conspiracy theory that the FBI and the Justice Department are plotting to frame the president with a “false crime” in the Russian Investigation and “exonerate Hillary Clinton.” The Times reported that diGenova will serve as an “outspoken player” in the White House’s response to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into alleged Trump-Russia collusion, amid the president’s direct attacks on the probe.
