Election Day might be three weeks away, but it’s never too early to get in a good excuse in case things go wrong. President Donald Trump said he’ll take no responsibility if the Republican Party ends up losing control of the House of Representatives, telling the Associated Press: “No, I think I’m helping people... I don’t believe anybody’s ever had this kind of an impact.” His predecessor Barack Obama personally took responsibility when the Democrats took a hammering in the 2014 midterms, saying that voters “know one person in Washington, and that’s the president of the United States.” If Democrats do take the House and pursue impeachment or a raft of investigations—including seeking his much-anticipated tax returns—Trump said he will “handle it very well.”
