Michael Cohen, a longtime personal attorney to President Trump, is strongly denying taking part in any efforts to collude with Russians to tilt the 2016 election in Trump’s favor. A letter sent by Cohen’s lawyer to the House Intelligence Committee, which was obtained by The New York Times, attempts to rebut claims made in a dossier that was published earlier this year alleging that Cohen took part in Trump campaign efforts to collude with Russia. “We have not uncovered a single document that would in any way corroborate the dossier’s allegations regarding Mr. Cohen, nor do we believe that any such document exists,” Cohen’s lawyer, Stephen M. Ryan, wrote in the letter. “Mr. Cohen vehemently denies the claims made in the dossier about him, which are false and remain wholly unsubstantiated.”
