Freshly sworn-in Donald Trump revealed abroad Air Force One that he is looking to customize the famous presidential plane to his own style. During the quick 20-minute Q&A with reporters mid-air, he called the aircraft “special” but stated that it has not changed much since his last term. Former President Joe Biden previously made the decision to nix the proposed color change that Trump had suggested in his first term-- a red, white and dark blue design. The plane was kept light blue and white, citing an Air Force review at the time that said that Trump’s idea would raise cost and delay jets. But now that Trump is back in the White House, the president is not willing to give up on his dream just yet. “We want power blue, not baby blue,” Trump said. “Everything has its time and place. We’ll be changing the colors.” The current paint job has remained the standard since the Kennedy administration. Before Trump’s re-election, one of his advisers told Politico that he would make the change if he made it back into office. “The model was on the coffee table in the Oval Office and he pointed it out many times to foreign and domestic visitors,” the person said to the outlet. “He thought it represented America more and represented strength, the red, white and blue.”
