Trump: Maybe Ryan Doesn’t Want to Win

Suggested House speaker is preparing to run in 2020.

During a Monday interview while campaigning in House Speaker Paul Ryan’s home state of Wisconsin, Donald Trump suggested that Ryan might not want him to win. “Well, maybe not, because maybe he wants to run in four years—or maybe he doesn’t know how to win,” he told ABC News. Trump has publicly feuded with Ryan since the GOP leader indicated that he would no longer defend Trump after the Access Hollywood tape revelations. “Maybe just doesn’t know how to win,” Trump continued. “I mean, who can really know? But I know I’m in his territory and they are all screaming for Trump. The head of the [state] Republican Party just left me. He shook my hand. He says, ‘You are gonna win Wisconsin.’ And I know one thing, we are gonna do very well here.”
