President-elect Donald Trump announced Monday that he intends to nominate Vincent J. Viola as secretary of the Army. Viola is the founder and executive chairman of Virtu Financial, and the owner of the NHL’s Florida Panthers. He is a graduate of West Point and served in the 101st Airborne Division as an infantry officer. “Whether it is his distinguished military service or highly impressive track record in the world of business, Vinnie has proved throughout his life that he knows how to be a leader and deliver major results in the face of any challenge,” Trump said in a statement.
