Trump on Flynn’s Guilty Plea: ‘Absolutely No Collusion’

The president makes his first public comment on the Russia probe since his former national security adviser agreed to cooperate with investigators.

President Trump on Saturday insisted there was “absolutely no collusion” between his election campaign and Russia in his first public comment on former national security adviser Michael Flynn’s guilty plea. Trump made the remark to reporters as he departed the White House early Saturday. Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI on Friday and agreed to cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible collusion between Moscow and Trump’s election campaign. The development has fueled speculation that Flynn may have offered Mueller’s team incriminating information on other current or former members of Trump’s administration.
