Trump: People Are ‘Fleeing’ New York Because the State Is a ‘Presidential Harasser’

President Trump claims New York State and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo are “presidential harassers” after the state's attorney general reportedly launched an investigation into several Trump Organization real estate projects. According to the president, in light of such “harassment,” it is “no wonder people are fleeing the state in record numbers.” While Trump didn't explicitly name the investigation as the reason behind his latest gripe, he declared that “the Witch Hunt continues.” According to the Associated Press, subpoenas from the New York attorney general's office were sent to Deutsche Bank and Investors Bank on Monday seeking “loan applications, mortgages and other records” on Trump real estate dealings. The move came after Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, testified before Congress last month that the president inflated his wealth in financial statements when trying to obtain funding.
