Speaking at a campaign event in North Carolina on Tuesday, Donald Trump once again praised the methods of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. While conceding that Hussein was a “bad guy,” Trump went on to laud his ruthlessness in dealing with terrorism. “He killed terrorists. He did that so good. They didn’t read them the rights. They didn’t talk. They were terrorists. Over. Today, Iraq is Harvard for terrorism,” Trump said. The presumptive Republican presidential nominee made similar remarks in February, apparently unaware that Iraq was considered a state sponsor of terrorism under Hussein’s reign.
