Trump: Putin and I Having ‘Very Good Talks’ in Germany

President Trump said he and Russian President Vladimir Putin have “had some very, very good talks” after meeting face-to-face at the G-20 summit in Hamburg, Germany, on Friday. “It’s an honor to be with you,” Trump said. The pair shook hands and exchanged a few words as Trump grabbed Putin’s forearm and patted him on the back. Trump and Putin have a highly anticipated formal sit-down planned for 30 minutes, where the two will likely discuss several issues, including the Syrian civil war. Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s spokesman, told reporters that Putin is looking forward to the meeting and that they have “much to discuss.” Trump tweeted early Friday morning that he was also excited about the session.
