Trump Spox: Ban Was Never on All Muslims

Amid reports of Trump walking back policy.

According to Trump national spokeswoman Katrina Pierson, his proposed “complete shut down of Muslims entering the United States” was never a ban on all Muslims. During a Monday evening interview, Pierson told anchor Brianna Keilar that, despite her candidate’s own initial words, “Tht was not the case. [The ban] was for Muslim immigration.” Pierson also claimed that Trump’s recent “revisions” to his proposed anti-Muslim policy are not really changes at all. She added that Trump’s original suggestion of a total “shut down” was just “a line that he read from the policy; the policy in and of itself was an immigration policy. The context there is extremely important. We’ve said this a number of times. Since that statement was made, we have had the CIA and the FBI come out and tell us that we have ISIS soldier who is are infiltrating the refugee program coming into the United States.”
