Kellyanne Conway, President-elect Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign manager, will serve as counselor to the president in his administration. Trump’s team announced the appointment early Thursday. “Kellyanne Conway has been a trusted adviser and strategist who played a crucial role in my victory,” the real-estate mogul said in a statement. “She is a tireless and tenacious advocate of my agenda and has amazing insights on how to effectively communicate our message. I am pleased that she will be part of my senior team in the West Wing.” Conway previously mentioned in interviews that she was reticent to accept a White House post because of her young children. But on Thursday, she called the announcement an “amazing opportunity.” She continued, “I am humbled and honored to play a role in helping transform the movement he has led into a real agenda of action and results.”
