Donald Trump has threatened to sue The New York Times for publishing claims that two women were inappropriately touched by the now-presidential candidate. Lawyers for Trump sent a letter to the Times asking that a retraction and an apology be immediately issued for the story. Marc E. Kasowitz, a lawyer representing the real-estate mogul, wrote in a letter to the newspaper’s executive editor that the article was “reckless, defamatory, and constitutes libel per se.” The letter does not provide any evidence that the facts within the story are inaccurate. CNN reports that a “high-ranking source” on Trump’s team said “NYT editors, reporters, politically motivated accusers better lawyer up.”
