President Trump announced Monday that he plans to award Tiger Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the country’s highest civilian honor, just a day after the golf legend broke his nearly 11-year dry spell to win the Masters. “Spoke to @TigerWoods to congratulate him on the great victory he had in yesterday’s @TheMasters, & to inform him that because of his incredible Success & Comeback in Sports (Golf) and, more importantly, LIFE, I will be presenting him with the PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF FREEDOM!” Trump tweeted. After more than a decade of tumultuous medical and personal problems that took him out of golf’s top 50 ranked players, Woods won his 15th major tournament on Sunday afternoon.
