Despite repeatedly antagonizing China during his presidential campaign, President Trump now plans to host Chinese President Xi Jinping at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida this spring. The meeting will reportedly cover economic and security issues. Trump has not, according to an Axios report Monday morning, planned any golf excursions for the visit, which is tentatively scheduled for April 6 and 7. The visit could help ease fears of those in the U.S. and elsewhere who have become anxious that Trump isn’t committed to a positive relationship between the two global superpowers.
