Donald Trump is postponing an announcement on the future of his businesses until next month, Bloomberg reports. Trump had previously planned a December 15 press conference, during which he would apparently detail the next steps for his various business ventures. The press conference is now expected to take place in January, before his inauguration. Members of Trump's team told Bloomberg that Trump was focusing on finalizing his cabinet picks, and could not currently announce his business plans.
Trump's businesses and their potential conflicts of interest with the presidency have dogged him since his election. Trump has pledged to put the businesses in a "blind trust" with family members. But those same family members have been central members of Trump's transition team, raising ethical questions. Trump has also been accused of raising business propositions with foreign leaders during meetings after his election.
