Donald Trump has doubled down in the face of a major backlash, telling multiple sources on Saturday that he won’t withdraw from the presidential race despite losing numerous endorsements. Trump’s comments came as the fallout continued over the release of a 2005 video in which he said he could grab women “by the pussy” thanks to his fame. The video prompted numerous GOP members to withdraw their support and urge Trump to drop out. But Trump didn't seem fazed. “I’d never withdraw. I’ve never withdrawn in my life,” Trump told the Washington Post on Saturday. In comments to the Wall Street Journal, he said there was “zero chance I’ll quit,” adding that he’s getting “unbelievable” support despite mounting criticism. It was unclear where exactly the support was coming from, however, as calls for his ouster continued throughout Saturday. Fellow Republican party members Carly Fiorina, Kelly Ayotte, U.S. Senator Mike Crapo and Jon Hunstman all called on Trump to quit the race. Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus stopped short of demanding Trump step aside but denounced his remarks.
