Maybe Donald Rumsfeld will sign up after getting patted down at O'Hare. Federal authorities are launching a pilot program that lets pre-approved passengers skip parts of the security process. Qualified passengers may not have to take off their shoes or remove their laptops from their cases. The initial program will be for only Delta passengers traveling between Atlanta and Detroit, and American Airlines passengers traveling between Miami and Dallas. Frequent fliers for the airlines can submit personal information that will be screened in advance by the TSA.
