A body that washed up on the beach in Astoria, Oregon on April 2 has been identified as belonging to Dustin Douglas Weber, a man swept away on March 11 in a tsunami generated by the Japan earthquake. Weber was walking near the mouth of the Klamath River in California, several hundred miles from Astoria, when he was caught by a tsunami swell while skipping stones. His mother said the 25 year old thought the danger had passed, when in fact the swells continued for some time after the initial warning. A hiker along the Columbia River found the body.
