Tunisia’s health minister quit Saturday after 11 babies died in just 24 hours at a hospital near the capital, Reuters reports. Although it’s unlikely that Abdel-Raouf El-Sherif had anything directly to do with the children’s deaths, citizens have long complained about the degradation of state services following the 2011 revolution. Authorities are now reportedly investigating the deaths, which are believed to have been caused by a blood infection.
