Authorities in Turkey detained 22 members of a far-left militant group Wednesday, after its members took a Turkish prosecutor hostage because of disagreements over the handling of a politically sensitive case. The prosecutor, Mehmet Selim Kiraz, was later killed in a rescue mission, as were his two captors. Intelligence agents reportedly got alerts of impending similar operations by the Marxist Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party-Front.
