Turn Down For Cool: Downstairs at Fifty Seven

Courtesy Fifty Seven

Let’s be honest…it feels like summer year round in sunny Los Angeles. Yet there’s something about its summer nights that feels oh so sultry and irresistible, and this summer we’re attributing it to the urban chic vibes being set off by LA’s popping Arts District and it’s exploding music, libations, and culinary scene. Our favorite nighttime hang is the intimate and sexy cool Downstairs @ Fifty Seven, a new jazz club set below one of LA’s hottest new pop-up style restaurant Fifty Seven. With its dark blue lights and low ceilings, this underground jazz club is where you’ll escape from the summer heat and take in some of the most intimate music performance in the city. Each performance and residency at Downstairs @ Fifty Seven is a sophisticated twist on the usual jazz scene. Featuring artists such as actor Jeff Goldblum and his band to award-winning South African songbird Lira, you’ll do your ears and summer a favor by grabbing a seat and kicking back. And if you get hungry or want to enjoy a culinary feast, just pop upstairs and grab a bite at the seasonal celebrity chef menu at Fifty Seven (and by seasonal, we mean that the chef literally changes every 3 months).
