Is there a Twilight generation? The Telegraph reports that Cullen is the fast-rising name for boys in the U.S., according to Social Security data, and says it’s “likely attributable to the bloodsucking Edward Cullen in the best-selling vampire romance novels Twilight.” Last year, Cullen was the 485th most popular name for boys, up 300 spots from 2008. Meanwhile, “Isabella,” the name of Kristen Stewart’s character in the films, was the most popular name for girls, knocking Emma off the top; “Bella” was the 58th most popular name. “Jacob,” the name of Taylor Lautner’s character in the films, was also the most popular boy’s name, though it has been so for 11 consecutive years.
