Twitter confirmed Fox News host Sean Hannity’s account was compromised before his account was deleted early Saturday morning. “While we normally do not discuss individual accounts, for privacy and security reasons, we have permission from the account owner to confirm that account was briefly compromised. We are working with the owner to restore access,” a Twitter spokesperson emailed to The Daily Beast. Before the account was deleted, it tweeted the cryptic message “Form Submission 1649 | #Hannity,” which led internet conspiracy theorists to speculate Hannity himself was trying to disseminate cryptic information. Hannity has been promising to unveil a vast, anti-Trump government conspiracy on his show for months, but has not produced any evidence or specific examples. His account was restored later on Saturday.
