A shooting at a house in Palm Springs on Saturday left two officers dead and one wounded with the suspect still on the run. Lesley Zerebny and Jose Gilbert “Gil” Vega were killed when they responded to a domestic disturbance call in the middle of the day. When they went to the door, the suspect began shooting. Zerenby was the mother of a 4-month-old and Vega had been on the force for 35 year and was planning to retire in December.
