At least two people are dead and three are injured after a “jihadist attack” at a tourist resort in the West African nation of Mali on Sunday, according to the country’s security minister. An undetermined number of gunmen attacked the Le Campement Kangaba luxury resort, east of Bamako, on Sunday. The resort is popular with Western tourists. “It is a jihadist attack. Malian special forces intervened and hostages have been released,” Minister Salif Traore told AFP. “Unfortunately for the moment there are two dead, including a Franco-Gabonese.”
