A man who police say shot three people dead at random in a suburban Denver Walmart late Wednesday remains on the loose, with officials saying they have no leads about his identity. The victims included two men and one woman, who police say succumbed to her injuries after being transported to a hospital. Authorities in Thornton, Colorado, said the suspect calmly walked in to the front of the store and allegedly began shooting his handgun, with some witnesses reported as many as 30 shots, and then fled in a red Mitsubishi Mirage four-door hatchback. All three victims were reportedly standing in the same area of the store at the time. Police say the Caucasian gunman, who was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and a maroon shirt, is still at large. The attack triggered panic as customers screamed and ran for the exits. Others reportedly hid until police arrived. “You see this stuff everywhere now,” said one witness. “We got to help each other out.”
