At least two people are dead and 12 people are missing in Texas after deadly flooding followed tornadoes on Monday. A life-threatening flash flood emergency was declared in the Houston area, where hundreds of homes remained underwater. Gov. Greg Abbott said it was the worst flooding he’d ever seen, describing it as a “relentless tsunami-type power.” Some of those missing are part of a Corpus Christi family that had been vacationing in a home that was swept away into the swollen Blanco River. There have been 19 reports of tornadoes amid storms in the Plains and Mississippi Valley since sunrise Monday, according to The Weather Channel. At least 13 people have died in connection to the severe weather over the past three days, including a high school senior on her way home from her prom.
