Two Occupy Wall Street protesters are suing the city of New York on Monday for alleged unlawful searches and arrests after participating in a demonstration at a Citibank branch in Greenwich Village on Oct. 15. Heather Carpenter, a student, and her fiancé, Colombian immigrant Julio Jose Jimenez-Artunduaga, are filing a federal civil-rights lawsuit. Carpenter and other protesters closed their Citibank accounts that day, but an undercover police officer reportedly manhandled her. "He grabs her, bear-hugs her, and actually ends up lifting her, literally, by her breasts with either hand and drags her into the vestibule of Citibank," her attorney Ron Kuby said. Both Carpenter and Jimenez were cuffed and charged with resisting arrest and criminal trespass, although the charges were later dropped.
