Uber Bans Alt-Right Leader Who Complained About Muslim Drivers

A prominent alt-right activist was banned by Uber and Lyft after she complained about Muslim drivers the day after a terror attack in New York City left eight people dead. “I’m late to the NYPD press conference because I couldn’t find a non Muslim cab or @Uber @lyft driver for over 30 min! This is insanity,” Laura Loomer tweeted on Wednesday. Uber told Business Insider that Loomer, a former acolyte of right-wing provocateur James O’Keefe, was banned because she violated the platform’s community guidelines. “I am not worried,” she tweeted in response to the ban. “Because when I am done suing @uber and @lyft, I will probably have a personal driver.”
