UFC fighter and professional boxer Conor McGregor was arrested on Monday in Miami Beach, The Associated Press reports.. The 30-year-old reportedly faces charges of “robbery and criminal mischief” and is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $12,500 bond. According to a police report, McGregor is accused of smashing the phone of a 22-year-old fan who was trying to take a photo at the Fontainebleau hotel on Monday morning. The boxer reportedly “slapped” the phone out of the fan's hand, “stomped on it several times,” and walked away with it. McGregor's lawyer said called the incident a “minor altercation” in a statement. “Mr. McGregor appreciates the response of law enforcement and pledges his full cooperation,” Samuel J. Rabin Jr. told the AP. McGregor was formerly UFC's featherweight and lightweight champion, and was defeated by Floyd Mayweather Jr. in his first boxing match.
