UFC Fighter Frank Shamrock Charged With Animal Cruelty For Leaving His Mom’s Dog Tied Up in his Pick-up Truck
DOGGONE IT
Former UFC star Frank Shamrock is facing charges of animal cruelty after allegedly leaving Zelda, his mom’s dog tied up in the back of his pick-up truck for five days at Dallas’s Love Field Airport. A passerby noticed that a dog tied up in the truck in the airport parking garage on March 4 was still there when he returned two days later. Security cameras inside the parking garage show that the truck actually arrived on March 2. Zelda, a 7-year-old labrador mix, was then taken by Dallas Animal Services, according to local CBS news in Dallas. Shamrock reportedly had tried to get someone to dog-sit while he was traveling. He posted on his Facebook page on March 2: “Need help. My mom has to give her dogs away as she can’t care for them anymore.” He then wrote that he had “called every shelter within 200 miles” and that he had to board a flight. The incident was only announced on Friday.
