Britain issued a general terror warning to all its citizens traveling overseas because of fears that they could be targeted by Islamic State group terrorists as a revenge ploy for coalition actions in the Middle East. Though travel warnings are normally issued for individual countries, the Foreign Office updated travel advice pages on Friday for a generalized, global terror threat. “There is considered to be a heightened threat of terrorist attack globally against U.K. interests and British nationals from groups or individuals motivated by the conflict in Iraq and Syria,” the Foreign Office said in a statement. “You should be vigilant at this time.”
