British pop sensation Lily Allen has been hospitalized with septicaemia, a blood-poisoning condition that can be lethal. The news comes just five days after she announced that, at six months pregnant, she suffered a miscarriage, her second. “Lily thanks everyone for their messages of support and again asks that she and partner Sam Cooper be left alone whilst she recovers,” said a representative. If untreated, the blood condition can turn into septic shock, a life-threatening drop in blood pressure.
