Authorities in Kyiv reported that a young girl in her last year of primary school, identified only as Polina, was shot dead alongside her parents as the family tried to flee Kyiv by car. They were gunned down by a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group, BBC reports. Polina’s brother and sister, who remains in intensive care, were rushed to separate hospitals. Polina’s death adds to the grim toll of at least 14 Ukrainian children killed in the Russian invasion.
