United Nations inspectors on Sunday traveled to the Arak heavy-water plant in Iran, which has long been suspected as being key in the country’s nuclear program. It’s the first time in two years that the International Atomic Energy Agency had been allowed to visit the plant, which could be used in creation of a nuclear bomb. The visit is the first after the announcement last month of a deal between the West and Iran to curb Tehran’s nuclear program. Officials from the U.S., France, Germany, Britain, China, and Russia will meet on December 9-10 in Vienna, where the IAEA is based, to officially discuss how to implement the Geneva recommendations.
