U.N. Wants to Visit Iran Nuclear Site

The United Nations’ nuclear watchdog wants in. The International Atomic Energy Agency wants to visit Iran’s nuclear facilities to ascertain whether Tehran is trying to make a nuclear weapon. IAEA chief Yukiya Amano has requested that a team of experts be sent to Iran after his agency released a report last week that provided the strongest evidence yet that an effort is being made toward building a nuclear bomb. Iran insists that its nuclear ambitions are peaceful, but the IAEA report contends that the country even had a structured bomb-making program prior to the end of 2003.
