Kate's naughty uncle Gary Goldsmith is the subject of a boozy interview in the Telegraph this morning, and the intrepid reporter assigned to drink two bottles of Champagne with him paints a vivid picture of the lovable rascal.
He is coy when it comes to newsworthy revelations, saying he is launching an effort to rebrand himself so his daughter can bring up some positive results when she googles him, but he does appear to confirm rumors that Its Royal Babyness will spend the first six weeks of its life at the home of Kate’s mum, Carole, when he says, “The fact that they’re taking the baby to Carole’s for the first six weeks is genius. Carole’s a brilliant mum – she is 10 years older than me and practised on me – and I think it’s the right thing to do. It will take the pressure off Kate.”
Confirmation, were any needed, that Kate intends for this baby to be brought up in a very different tradition from previous royal sprogs.
