All customers who were aboard United Airlines Flight 3411 on Sunday, April 9 will receive compensation for the cost of their tickets, CNBC reported on Wednesday. This specific United flight made international news when police officers were filmed violently removing a 69-year-old passenger who refused to give up his seat on what the airline originally claimed was an “overbooked” flight. The company has faced major outrage over the incident, with CEO Oscar Munoz claiming he felt great “shame” when he saw the video, and that major policy changes are expected to be instituted at the airline.
