Urban Outfitters may be the land of all things hip and trendy and sometimes confusing, but their home goods selection is pretty fantastic. The prices are decent, the style is unmatched, and they just launched five new collections within their repertoire that encompass even more home decor styles.
The Ria Collection is bohemian and natural, strongly featuring wicker, rattan, and soft corners. The vibe is ‘70s bungalow meets treehouse with pieces like the Rattan Bed that looks like pieces of bent bamboo, and the Bookshelf that would look just as at home in a Cape Cod beach house as it would in a Williamsburg apartment.
The Camila Collection is for the modern romantic, full of velvet tufted ottomans and curved couches. This also features the most universal pieces of the bunch, like the Camila Bench, Nightstand, and Dresser that are all a bit basic mid-century.
The Wyatt Collection and the Howell Collection are the most industrial of the bunch. Howell has a lot of black metal accents and graphic details, like the sharp edges of the Storage Unit or the bare bones Love Seat. Wyatt does the same utilitarian approach, but mostly sticks to wood. Mango wood to be specific. This collection is like West Elm Lite, with richly stained pieces like the Faux Leather Arm Chair and Bed.
The final collection is the biggest departure from the more basic options above. The Finley Collection is a little bit glam, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll. Some pieces in this collection, like the 6-Drawer Dresser, are made from black-stained wood, while others like the Media Console stick to camphor wood.
With over 30 different pieces to choose from, there’s bound to be something in your style.
