The U.S. women's national soccer team finished first place in its group after defeating Nigeria 1-0 at the Women's World Cup on Tuesday. Abby Wambach scored late in the first half, notching her 14th World Cup goal to tie with Birgit Prinz for second on the all-time list. The No. 2-ranked U.S. team has two World Cup titles but hasn't own since 1999. The U.S. will head to Edmonton, Alberta, for the first round of the knockout stage.
