A U.S. citizen was killed in Egypt on Friday when violence erupted ahead of expected protests on Sunday, the anniversary of President Morsi’s inauguration. Clashes broke out between Morsi’s Islamist supporters and those who have turned on him since he was elected president one year ago and was embraced by both Egypt and the international community. The American man was allegedly stabbed to death in the city of Alexandria, with two security officials and one health official claiming they witnessed the stabbing. His identity has not yet been revealed. Protesters are expected to demand Morsi’s resignation on Sunday.
