U.S. forces killed the leader of an ISIS affiliate in Afghanistan this week, the Pentagon announced on Friday. Abu Sayed, the leader of ISIS in Khorasan Province, was killed in a raid along with other militants on Tuesday in Kunar Province, chief Pentagon spokeswoman Dana White said. The military’s efforts will “significantly disrupt the terror group's plans to expand its presence in Afghanistan,” White added.
